Kung may balak kang pumasok sa kolehiyo, seryosohin mo ang pag-aaral sa hayskul. Kasi kung papasok ka sa college at wala kang kamuwang-muwang sa hayskul, para kang pumasok sa PGT at sinabihan ng tatlong judges na “It’s a No. I’m proud of you.” Huwag kang magagalit sa teachers niyo kung palagi siyang nagle-lecture o nagqu-quiz, ginagawa nila yan para sa’yo, maniwala ka!
(Base kasi sa mga experience ng mga klasmets ko, hindi daw nila sineryoso ang hayskul kaya ngayong college, nganga sila.) Kaya advantage talaga kung seseryosohin.
Sa hayskul, kapag bibigyan ka ng grade na 75, pwede mong bulungan ang teacher mo na: “Ma’am, bibigyan kita ng lechon manok ipasa mo lang ako. Jeje.” Pero sa college, kapag bibigyan ka ng grade na 3 (75) or 5 (F), wag mo nang bulungan. Baka makulong ka pa.
Dapat related ang kurso mo sa college at TLE mo sa highschool. Kung Culinary ang TLE mo noon, dapat related sa cooking ang course mo. Hindi pwedeng culinary to technology, kasi hindi mo lulutuin ang computer.
Dalawang dekada ka lang mag-aaral. Kung ‘di mo pagtityagaan, limang dekada ng kahirapan ang kapalit. Sobrang lugi. Kung alam lang ‘yan ng mga kabataan, sa pananaw ko walang gugustuhing umiwas sa eskwela.
